Charitable Activities for the Holidays

Bland Cares Foundation members are participating in two charities this holiday season: FoodBank for the Heartland Backpack Program and Child Saving Institute Substitute Santa.

FoodBank for the Heartland’s BackPack program

FoodBank for the Heartland’s BackPack program provides food for hungry children when other resources are not available, such as weekends and school vacations. We work with more than 235 schools across Nebraska and western Iowa to distribute 8,300 nutritious foodpacks to students at-risk of hunger each week.

Child Saving Institute Substitute Santa

Ho, Ho, Hope YOU’LL be a Substitute Santa this year!
Through the Child Saving Institute Guild’s Substitute Santa program, you can put the happy in Happy Holidays for hundreds of children and teens in our community. Whatever holiday you celebrate personally— Christmas, Hanukah, the winter solstice or Kwanza—helping Child Saving Institute’s kids have a happy holiday and childhood is a big job and we absolutely couldn’t do it without you! Thank you for your support and thank you for being part of our CSI family this holiday season and all year long.
