Open Door Mission Glove Drive

Bland Cares was proud to be a part of helping the Open Door Mission yesterday in conjunction with Chip Thompson Design, KreativElement, REDiTECH, Feltz WealthPLAN, The Key Group and KTech, all Omaha-based companies.

Chip and Kelly Thompson, owners of Chip Thompson Design, an Omaha-based marketing and website design firm, recently learned that the Open Door Mission was in need of winter items, particularly gloves for men and children.

Chip had contacted the Mission to see what they were in need of most, gloves. After Chip made a few calls he had contacted a local supplier, Militti Sales and Promotions, and they had agreed to provide the heavy-duty winter gloves at cost, which amounts to a retail value of over $8,600.

Jeremy Vokt, commented, “We were thrilled to help when Chip reached out to us. We are always looking for new and helpful ways to help the community in anyway we can.”

The glove-donating ceremony was held at 2:00 PM, January 14, 2016 at the Garland Thompson Men’s Center located at 2706 N 21st St E Omaha NE.
